EBAY WANTS TO DITCH SMALL SELLERS. Yes it really is that straightforward. We have heard personally from a family member inside Ebay UK and from site members via email, and the stories all match.

The bottom line is that ebay wants to be a marketplace like Amazon, full of professional businesses who mass list hundreds of items per week. They want massive item turnover from big sellers. Sellers cannot leave negative feedback any more - only positive. This leaves them at the mercy of buyers looking to blackmail a better deal after payment for example.

Oh and the fees. Disguised as a fee cut, they actually raised final value fees to 8.75% (12% for store items) which we have evidence from ebay sellers is crippling the gaming seller.

SO IF YOU BUY ITEMS ON EBAY YOU ARE DOING YOURSELF OUT OF CHOICE AND ENSURING YOU PAY A PREMIUM FOR YOUR ITEMS.

Why? Because the small sellers will, and are, leaving ebay, giving you a smaller choice of items. Those that continue to sell will pass on the fee hikes to you in their prices.

So what is the alternative?
